Privacy policy

Last updated: 02 September 2026

Day Consultancy Group (ABN 28 699 339 814) ("we", "us", "our") operates daycg.com.au and provides IT consulting, managed services, and technology advisory services to small businesses. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information.

1. What we collect

Via this website

  • Name, email address, phone number, and message content submitted through our contact form.

Through our IT consulting and managed services engagements

When we provide IT support, Microsoft 365/Intune tenant management, email security configuration, or related advisory services to a client organisation, we may incidentally access:

  • Client employee account and device information (e.g. device compliance status, enrolment details, mailbox configuration) as required to deliver the service

  • Email metadata and configuration data (e.g. DNS records, DMARC/DKIM reports) — not the content of client emails, unless explicitly required to diagnose an issue and authorised by the client

  • System and diagnostic logs from client infrastructure

We do not seek out or use this information for any purpose beyond delivering the contracted service.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, financial account, or government identity details) through this website or

in the course of our IT consulting work. If such information is incidentally encountered while delivering a service (e.g. visible in a client system

during troubleshooting), we do not record, copy, or retain it beyond what is operationally necessary to complete the task.

2. How we use personal information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to enquiries submitted via the contact form

  • Deliver, maintain, and troubleshoot IT services for clients

  • Meet our contractual and legal obligations to clients

  • Improve our services

3. Use of AI tools

We may use third-party AI tools (including Anthropic's Claude) to assist with tasks such as drafting documentation, analysing logs, or processing technical configuration data as part of service delivery.

Where this occurs:

  • We do not knowingly submit sensitive personal information (e.g. health, financial, or identity data) to AI tools

  • Client data is used only to the extent necessary to complete the specific task and is not used to train third-party AI models

  • We take reasonable steps to engage AI providers with their own data handling and confidentiality commitments

If you are a client with specific requirements about AI tool use on your data, contact us to discuss.

4. Disclosure to third parties

We may disclose personal information to:

  • IT and hosting service providers we use to deliver our own services (e.g. Microsoft, GoDaddy)

  • Third-party AI service providers, as described above

  • Regulatory or law enforcement bodies, where required by law

We do not sell personal information.

Overseas storage and processing: Some of the third-party services we use store or process data outside Australia, including the United States (e.g. Microsoft 365, GoDaddy, and AI tools such as Anthropic's Claude). By submitting information to us, you acknowledge it may be handled by providers operating overseas. We select providers with their own data protection commitments but do not guarantee a specific overseas jurisdiction will apply equivalent privacy protections to those in Australia.

5. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls and endpoint security measures consistent with our own IT practices.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or to meet legal/record-keeping obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

6. Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below.

7. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, contact us first. If unresolved, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
